Airport Safety and Security
Keep the Runway Clear
Unwanted animals at the airport can be both dangerous and expensive. According to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Agriculture, wildlife such as alligators, pigs, coyotes, beavers, and deer have had encounters with planes at airports, causing $187 million in damage each year. Building newer, better fences to keep wildlife out can be expensive. How can you stop animals from invading the airport without blowing your budget? Install Dig Defence Animal Control barriers.
Dig Defence offers a line of products including drive-in digging barriers and climb-stopper fence extenders to increase security on your existing fences. They are cost-effective, easy to install, and provide a permanent solution to your wildlife problems.
Wildlife Hazard Management on a Budget
The FAA reports that wildlife strikes pose an economic and safety risk, and they recommend solutions that are humane and effective. One of the easiest ways to protect your runway is to prevent animals from entering by digging under the fence. Using Dig Defence barriers, you can easily add an extra layer of protection to your existing fencing, stopping nuisance animals in their tracks. Dig Defence Animal Control is a trenchless, humane, below-ground barrier that secures fences against invasive wildlife. Instead of costly repeated trapping or expensive new fence construction, you can affordably add to your existing fences and increase security against invaders.
Dig Defence products are made in the USA of robust 4-gauge galvanized steel rods with 1 1/4″ spacing and rock solid welds. For commercial airport installation, we offer products in bulk for better pricing to meet the needs of your project. Powder coating and custom fabrication are also available.
How to Install Dig Defence Animal Control
Dig Defence is compatible with all types of fences including chain link, wood, privacy, and wrought iron. You simply drive the digging barriers into the ground with a hammer or our commercial installation tool. To prevent predators from digging, drive the barriers straight down interlocking the units with the chain link fencing. The commercial grade barriers will stand up to larger, stronger animals. Keep your runway safe by keeping animals out.
