Got ALL IN! Working good so far to keep my little Terror of a Terrier confined to yard. Great purchase, but I did zip tie to chain link fence for added security. The 25 pack and the 2 10 packs covered the 3/4 area of my fence where there were openings at bottom of fence and my dog could get thru. He's safe now.
The gate plate is the perfect deterrence against dogs digging you gate. Securing stakes are a must to ensure gate stays put.
These are perfect. Pricey because I needed 40 of them but they stayed in the ground all winter so I suspect they will last a long time.
I have a new puppy who loves to dig and I live on a busy street. The gap under my gate was not enough for her to get under but based on the holes she was digging… it would eventually happen. The spikes that comes with this are long enough to keep the rounded part in place and my dog would have to dig 2 feet down, create a tunnel and then dig 2 feet back up on the other side to get around this. It’s not gonna happen. Lexi is smart but not an engineer. ;-)
The quality of the product is great! However, I had difficulty using a mallet to hammer in the spikes. Do yourself a favor and use a long patio block or cinder block to hammer it in. You need to hammer in several spikes on one side at one time as opposed to trying to hit each spike down the row. When I used a patio block the install went super easy!
I love the product and so glad I got it. Now I have peace of mind when I let her outside on her own that she won’t dig under the gate! Oh btw, I have had the landscapers come twice since it was installed.. they had no problem with the install either!
